“Gung ho” are currently two unsigned rock musicians from Wrexham and Chester. The simple premise being to record and gig their own material with a  pro attitude but strictly low key schedule. We hope to find an appreciative audience (and some new fellow band members!!) that love original hard rock. 

We cover a lot of influences in our music and work to the songs we write rather than fit any style and have a realistic eye on what we can achieve. Being older in years we appreciate what we do but canʼt settle for the covers treadmill. There is plenty of brilliant bands in this area alone who can faithfully recreate their favourite bands sounds. Both Mike lead vocalist and Ian on guitars have appeared and enjoyed the local covers circuit but after being together in original band LEON in the early noughtys and receiving strong review and radio play feel that original music is their love.

The first single released in July 23 off the upcoming Hometown ep This Is My Hometown (St Giles Bells) was well received and its melancholy piano arrangement a stark contrast to the upcoming double release of the hard rock tracks “Seven year itch” and “ Donʼtit make you cry” which clearly identifyʼs the bandʼs eclectic styles.
